The CRG Racing Team was on song for the first 2012 world event at Suzuka (Japan). Behind the wheel of the new CRG chassis powered by a formidable BMB engine prepared by KVS, two of its drivers distinguished themselves brilliantly during a hotly disputed competition where sometimes race incidents changed the cards on the table. Felice Tiene battled at the front for most of the meeting and climbed onto the podium twice, with a third and then a second place. While he was in the lead of the race, a collision a few hundred meters from the finish line denied him a deserved victory.
Thanks to his experience, four-time world champion Davide Forè led his kart to the top 5 and then seized the opportunity to take another victory in Race 4, where he proved to be both the wisest and most effective driver on the track. The Briton Jordon Lennox-Lamb produced some excellent performances, but the intensity of competition made his job rather complicated. CRG is now 3rd and 4th in the World KF1 Championship provisional classification with Tiene and Forè and with Lennox-Lamb’s 8th place, the Italian brand is the best represented in the world’s top 10.
