The KF2 prefinal began in confusion when Sébastien Bailly (Swiss Hutless / TM) sneaked inside at the first corner, touching Valentin Moineault (Tony Kart / Vortex) who in turn confronted Charles Leclerc (ART GP / Parilla). Moineault found himself fifth and Leclerc 10th. Bryan Laloux (Kosmic / Vortex) was in the lead, but Remy Deguffroy (Tony Kart / Vortex) rapidly look the lead before Bailly gained control ahead of Moineault and Deguffroy.
Leclerc raced back toward the front at high speed, and was the fastest on the track. He took fourth on lap 11, while Moineault stayed close to Bailly, the leader, but he had the right setup and could do more than just defend. Two laps from the finish, Leclerc joined Deguffroy and passed on the last lap. This was the first victory for the Belgian Bailly on the Swiss Hutless ahead of Moineault and Leclerc.
