The weather was overcast and rainy at times during the second round of the WSK Euro Series, held on the French circuit of Val d’Argenton. But all CRG drivers did a brilliant job in the 4 classes of the competition, with 2 victories, 3 podiums and 2 pole positions for the Desenzano brand. CRG is looking at another positive season ahead.
KZ1: Jorrit Pex on the Top Step of the Podium
The CRG/TM of the young Dutch driver literally dominated Final 2 on Sunday, in a race that he led from the beginning to the end. Only Jonathan Thonon and his CRG/Maxter could have worried him, without the water pump belt breakage.
KZ2: Lennox-Lamb, an Extraordinary Attacker
Poleman in timed qualifying, the Briton pushed his CRG/Maxter to the very limit during the intense fights that marked each of his races. He conquered the 3rd place on the last lap in Final 1 on Saturday and just missed out on victory in Final 2, on Sunday.
KF2: Winning Return for Tiene
Felice Tiene (CRG/BMB) continued to give his maximum up to the final race, where he took the lead after an intense race start and crossed the finish line as winner, with over one second lead. Tom Joyner and his LH/BMB set about a stunning recovery from 32nd to 4th place and also set the fastest lap time in the race.
KF3: Palou, a Guarantee of Success
Poleman and winner of 3 heats, Alex Palou (CRG/BMB) consolidated his leadership position in the Championship by taking the third step of the final podium and established himself as the favourite in the KF3 international class.
