With two victories in the heats, Riccardo Negro (DR / TM) was on pole for the final one with a surprising Dylan Davies (PCR / TM) at his side. Since qualifying, Mirko Torsellini (Tony Kart / Vortex) took the measure of his new kart and was third with Marco Zanchetta (Energy / TM) also very incisive on the second row. The French driver Alexandre Arrue (Righetti / TM) was very good in the heats and is in fifth place ahead of Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / Maxter) who was fast but often held up fighting.
After a dry day, the rain started a little less than an hour before the start of the race. It was a lasting downpour and the track was fully wet. Negro got away first, followed by Torsellini who benefited from a puddle to take the lead. Orcic was the first victim of the weather when he hit the grass which sent him to the back. In third, Davies threatened Negro, and Arrue was in 4th in front of Lennox-Lamb and Maxim Roy (Tony Kart / TM). Lennox took fourth while the top three were sending up sprays of water.
Negro took the lead on lap 3 and got away. Adam Janous (Praga / TM) was strong in fifth position. Davies finally found the opening for 2nd place to go ahead of Torsellini. Brice De Gaye (DR / TM) attacked Arrue, in eighth, but Martin Doubek (Praga / Parilla) took the opportunity to overtake.
The intensity dropped in the second half of the race. Yet Davies closed on the leader Negro, and Lennox on Torsellini, in third. The gaps closed steadily in these two duels. Davies gave up but Lennox passed his opponent on the last lap. Victory went to Negro ahead of Davies, Lennox-Lamb was third, Torsellini fourth, Janous fifth, Roy sixth.
