The 71 competitors in KF3 at Sarno in the WSK Master Series have completed their qualifying heats on Saturday night. Only three will not be at the start of the two prefinals on Sunday morning. The British driver George Russell (Intrepid / TM) and the Russian Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart / BMB) have the same score: 3 wins and a second place each. Russell will be at the top of the clipboard because of his superior time in qualifying, but Sitnikov managed to beat him in their only heat together.
Behind them is the British driver Callum Ilott (Zanardi / Parilla), although with less verve than in La Conca, but in a very good position anyway. In fourth, Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex) made progress in pure speed in relation to his lack of experience. He will probably be a driver to fear when he has gained a little more maturity.
Dorian Boccolacci (Intrepid / TM) was able to recover to fifth despite his 23rd in qualifying and an engine that still needs perfecting. He beat Alessio Piccini and Luca Corberi (Kosmic / Vortex), Alex Palou (CRG / BMB) was delayed by a difficult final heat, then Lance Stroll (Zanardi / Parilla) and Connor Jupp (Energy / TM).
Valentin Naud (Formula K / TM) is doing well in 23rd place with three finishes in the top 10, Julien Darras (Intrepid / TM), in 29th, made up for his penalty in the first round with a superb second place.
