Alain Nicolle (Sodi / Rotax) at the front of the French Handi Cup is not a surprise, but behind him the battle raged between Pascal Hermes (Sodi / Rotax) and Claude Zéférini (Tony Kart / Vortex) who soon took over second position. Hermer reacted well when threatened again. Cyril Fournier (Top Kart / SA 250) was a solid fourth, while Vianney Chan Tsin (Sodi / Rotax) and Franck Ribot (Sodi / Rotax) were fighting for fifth place. In seventh, Rodriguez Melwynn (Sodi / Rotax) was finding it more difficult than in the pre-final, and was also followed by Fabrice Dubois (Sodi / SA 250).
Chan Tsin and Ribot lost two places. Anthony Jacquot (Sodi / Rotax) spun off, narrowly avoided by Jérôme Gonthier (Sodi / Rotax). There was a sensational duel late in the race between Dubois and Chan Tsin. Highly motivated, Dubois did not give any ground and took risks to resist clinch sixth place.
Alain Nicolle won the first French Cup for Handikart after dominating the meeting, from Pascal Hermer and Claude Zéférini. Melwynn Rodriguez finally returned to the fourth placed Cyrille Fournier.
