The 42 competitors in the CIK Academy Trophy completed their 6 rounds without a hitch, the widening of the right turn after the start proving it’s effectiveness. Rain did not disrupt the competition, which was a good thing, especially as a lot of fans made the trip to Essay.
The exclusion of Esteban Ocon changed the situation, leaving the Spaniard Mikel Azcona to take top spot in the intermediate classification on points and victories, from the Monegasque Charles Leclerc. Benjamin Barnicoat is third in front of the Albanian Aleksander Ndrio and the French Dorian Boccolacci. In the top seven drivers, unlike the Greek driver Filippos Kalesi struggling in 25th place, are William Sward (Sweden) and Florian Janits (Austria) who made dramatic breakthroughs in sixth and seventh positions.
