Sean Gelael did not meet with much success in KF2 at Zuera, on his first European Championship.
His kart was not among the fastest in the free practice sessions and the team tried some new adjustments while the driver was working with his entourage. Things started to get better during timed qualifying, despite a 53rd place.
Then, Sean started in the pack in all his four qualifying heats. The CIK meeting was particularly frantic on the track and this explains why the task of the Sean GP driver was not simple. He proved to be increasingly faster, but had to face drivers who were too often uncontrolled and did not qualify for Final A despite his convincing performances.
Luckily, he was very fast and incisive during Final B, battling hard to gain some places. He concluded with a 7th place, surrounded by very experienced drivers, which boosted the morale of the team.
