The weather is very cloudy at La Conca on this Sunday afternoon for the start of the Prefinal in KZ2. Although the air is humid, the rain did not interfere in the racing this afternoon and the track is almost dry.
Dreezen and Toninelli shared the front row ahead of Cesetti and Georgiev. Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex) was ahead of Roberto Toninelli flawlessly and slightly outpaced Sauro Cesetti (BirelBMB) who was already dogged by Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) who went into third position on lap 2. In 5th, Jorrit Pex (CRG / Maxter) set the fastest lap. Last after the start, Alessandro Piccini (Tony Kart / Vortex) was back to 24th.
The gap was very tight between the leader Dreezen and Toninelli, 2.5” ahead of Ardigo and Cesetti, joined by Pex, Riccardo Negro (DR / Parilla), Mishel Georgiev (CRG / TM) and Patrik Hajek (Tony Kart / Vortex). While he seemed able to disturb Ardigo, Cesetti lost a bit and found himself under threat from Pex. Piccoli (Tony Kart / Vortex) now led the chase in 6th position before Georgiev, Hajek, Negro and Vallifuoco (Intrepid / TM). Pex passed into fourth with two laps to go, but Cesetti repassed well on the last lap. Dreezen won from Toninelli and Ardigo.
