A few drops of rain fell on the KF3 final competitors waiting on the grid. There was a great start to Charles Leclerc who took the advantage from Pierre Gasly. Remy Deguffroy in third yielded to Leo Roussel and Nolan Mantione. Gasly stopped at the end of the straight. Leclerc escapes irretrievably 4” ahead of Roussel and Mantione, Deguffroy and Hubert, who was fastest. Loubet was ahead of Tirman, Marchetti and Cypriano.
Deguffroy took advantage of a small error from Mantione. Hubert kept pace with the group, but dropped back down the field. Further back, Florian Latorre, the fastest at that time, attacked Cypriano. Mantione was back again on Deguffroy and he took third position.
In the end, Leclerc slowed down the pace, intentionally or not, but his lead allowed him to cross the line as winner of the day. Roussel ensured a brilliant second position. On the last lap, Deguffroy, on the lookout, passed Mantione and finished 3rd. Mantione finished 4th, Hubert was 5th, without really defending his chances.
The podium was made up of Leclerc, the winner, Deguffroy ranked 2nd and finally Mantione, the revelation of the weekend, in 3rd. Roussel took three penalty points for his actions at the start on Deguffroy. We then learn the relegation of Deguffroy because he made a clerical error in registration of his engines numbers.
