And the winner is … Baaas Laaammmerrsss! Intrepid puts their 3 drivers in the official top 3 places in the Super Pro final in Las Vegas. Arnaud Kozlinski (CRG / Maxter), in 4th, gave the top 4 to Tec-Sav, the magical engine tuner.
Despite the dominance of Bas Lammers, leader from the 1st to the last lap, the race was not monotonous, to say the least. Norman Nato long maintained the pressure on his teammate, ready to take any opportunity to take control. Davide Fore (CRG / Maxter) was 1st to open a breach in the Intrepid armada by taking third from Jérémy Iglesias. On lap 9 Kozlinski took that place, while Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter) and Tony Lavanant (Energy / TM) closed. In 9th, Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) was defeated by Fritz Leesmann (CRG / Maxter), and Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) passed Michael Schumacher (Tony Kart / Vortex).
There was drama on lap 12: Fore broke his engine and inadvertently caused Thonon’s retirement. The gaps began to lengthen, but Koko was left in the wake of Iglesias as he moved into 3rd. Ardigo attacked Lavanant to gain 5th place. Abbasse retired on the last lap with a bent track rod.
Great victory for Lammers from Nato and Iglesias, Kozlinski 4th, Ardigo 5th, Lavanant 6th and Schumacher 7th!
