The Japanese driver Yu Kanumaru (Tony Kart / Vortex) was the hero of the KF2 races on Saturday morning. Only 8th on Friday, he took two wins in a row and is among the favorites for Sunday’s final. In contrast Brandon Maisano (CRG / Maxter) had to concede ground (4th and 8th), due to a less well adapted set-up. He remains confident and should have a place on the second row. Nicolaj Moller-Madsen (Energy / TM), with 3rd and second, will be a contender for the final victory.
Menezes (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Felice Tiene (Kosmic / Vortex) did well, with respectively 3rd and 4th in the last race, but are handicapped by the high points totals they have already registered. At Sodi, things are moving in the right direction. Loïc Réguillon entered the top 10 and the young rookie Alex Baron is not far off for his first race in KF2.
