The fourth round of the WSK, held on the Belgian track of Genk, was not made any easier by changing track and weather conditions. But it gave the official CRG Team an opportunity to fine-tune their equipment with a view to the forthcoming European Championships. The 3 top drivers in KZ2, Davide Forè, Arnaud Kozlinski and Jonathan Thonon demonstrated their talent once again with some excellent performances, but only Forè managed to achieve a result, while the other two drivers were victims of race mishaps. A remarkable thing was that 4 CRG/Maxters were among the 7 best in timed qualifiers and 5 out of 6 qualifying heats were won by CRG.
Omar Di Gesualdo, CRG Manager commented: “In KF3 and KF2, unfortunately, our drivers had a series of race accidents and were not able to achieve the results they would have deserved. In KF3, Robert Visoiu, more aggressive than even, showed a good progression. After two good heats, Jakub Dalewski was involved in a collision, and the same fate hit Niccolo Schiro and Giovanni Martinez in KF2. However, these boys have now the necessary competences to smoothly go through the rest of the season. In KZ2, we played a leading role in practice and qualifiers, while in the final phases we suffered the consequences of changing weather conditions, and as well as of a technical problem for Thonon. Forè achieved a good result, although he disputed the final with a chassis adjusted for the rain, just when the damp track was beginning to dry“.
