The track was still wet but not raining and the sun appeared from behind the clouds. An official was knocked over by a kart with its accelerator stuck, going off into the grass. Moller-Madsen (Energy / TM) started ahead of Johansson (Energy / TM), Picariello (Intrepid / TM) and Bailly (Tony Kart / Vortex). The first laps were unsettled with a lot of spins and other clashes.
Reguillon (Sodi / Parilla) was pushed off and dropped back. Moller-Madsen increased his lead while Bailly took 3rd, then second. Moller-Madsen retired with a mechanical failure and Bailly took 1st place on lap 4. Picariello remained second, but Paul-Loup Chatin (Tony Kart / Vortex) took 3rd from Johansson. Dane Smith (Nowa / Parilla), formidable on a wet track, pulled away from the pack and closed on Chatin. Picariello ceded ground and the ranking was Bailly as the strong leader, Smith second and Chatin 3rd.
The sun broke through the clouds and the lines dried significantly, changing the hierarchy of performance in the bunch. Chatin was able to come back to Smith, but the threat was coming from the back with the rebound of the Swede Jesper Rossler (Birel / Parilla). He took 2nd place with 2 laps to go.
Victory for Sébastien Bailly ahead of Jesper Rossler and Paul-Loup Chatin.
