The Belgian driver was well adapted to his new Intrepid chassis since he won a pre-final in KF, only slightly disrupted by rain.
At the first corner, Clement Bluy (Tony Kart / Vortex) lost all his chances of victory when he was taken out by Antunès. Mirko Luciani (Tony Kart / TM) was in the lead and was widening the gap to Moller-Madsen (Energy / TM), with Picariello Vermeylen, Johansson, Chatin and Reguillon. Picariello took 1st place and Luciano lost much ground. Reguillon rebounded like a rocket, and he was already 3rd on the 7th lap. Bailly also put on a show after an average start. He overcame his team mate Maiken Rasmussen while Moller-Madsen was slower than at the beginning of the race.
Da Luz, in 15th, was far from its ambitions, and Bluy, in 22nd, was regaining some ground. Reguillon took 3rd place, Bailly 5th. A light rain began to fall, making the track slippery. Bailly took the opportunity to overcome Chatin to gain 3rd place. Reguillon attempted an attack on Johansson, but made a mistake. The victory was achieved without problem ahead of Picariello, Bailly, Moller-Madsen, Chatin, Johansson, Vermeylen and Reguillon.
