Though CRG has not been officially present at the Suzuka World Cup for a few years, the Italian brand has already added its name to a long roll of honour at the Japanese meeting: Danilo Rossi won in 1992 and Vitantonio Liuzzi in 1999 (Super A category), while Luca Cassazza conquered the Formula A in 1994 and Lewis Hamilton in 2000.
In 2009, CRG has come back in force in the country of the rising sun, with a team of 4 drivers in Super KF, for one of the most important events of the season. Current title holder Davide Forè will the most experienced of the group, with his 4 world titles. Winner in 2006, Arnaud Kozlinski will be the favourite, while Jonathan Thonon, crowned with the title at the World Cup for KZ1 in 2008, will do his best to emerge in the top category. As for Eddy Tinini, he will discover the 1,260 metres of the Suzuka track for the very first time.
Japanese drivers Takeharu Nakamori and Kazushi Sano will defend CRG colours in Super KF, against a group of participants much more numerous than last year, with 42 registered drivers, i.e. double the number in 2008. CRG Japan will line up two of the best drivers (Fumiya Nakayama and Ryuya Fujie) in the Asia-Pacific KF2 Championship, which is held together with the World Cup for Super KF.
The event will start on Friday 22 May, on the extraordinary, fast and exciting Suzuka track, within the Formula 1 circuit.
