In Super KF, the best times were achieved in the second session. There was no chance for the four drivers who participated in the first session, thinking it was going to rain during the afternoon and rearrange the result. The clouds dissipated quickly, as did their hopes for the jackpot. De Brabander (Intrepid / TM) dropped to 9th place and Ryall (Topkart / Parilla) to 16th, unable to defend their positions with tires that were already worn.
So the Englishman Robert Foster-Jones (FA-Kart/Vortex) was fastest with 46.714 ahead of Simo Puhakka (PCR / TM) with 46.739 and Aaro Vainio (Maranello / Maxter) with 46.770. Those following were 2 tenths off. In 4th place was Tereza Gromanova (Maranello / Maxter) who beat her brother Zdenek Groman (Maranello / Maxter). Then followed the two Birel / Parilla karts of Weckström and Parrott, then Dale (CRG / TM) was 8th and Rowland (LH / Maxter) 10th.
The majority of the 22 drivers were using Bridgestones, apart from Dreezen (Vega) and Giacomello (Dunlop). Having already failed to keep up with the times, they both dropped out with mechanical problems in qualifying and ended up at the bottom of the rankings …
