The weather did not keep its promises to Angerville during the Friday free practice for the GPO. But this was good, because the forecast was wrong! No rain, some sun, would the spirit of the GPO also work it’s magic on the times?
Norman Nato (Intrepid / Maxter) managed the best performance of the day in KZ2 with 49”135 on a track which was still cold. Norman arrived at Angerville in great shape, despite his lack of running this winter. There was a pleasant surprise for the second fastest performance, with Mathias Gallepe (Sodi / Maxter) at his new team. Thomas Mich (Birel / TM), Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) and Yan Pesce (Energy / TM) completed the Top 5.
Just back from a test session in a car, Pierre Ragues jumped into his new Sodi / TM to take a good 7th behind his teammate Eric Ramon. Pierre Etienne Chaumat was not satisfied with his 14th position. It must be said that there are some good drivers too far down in the classification and that things will change without doubt on Saturday morning in the official qualifying. This is the case for Enzo Zéfirini, Vincent Gaglione and Gianni Gazzurelli, among others.
