The classification after the heats in Super KF saw some surprises at Lonato. The favorites experienced mixed fortunes and ultimately the Czech driver Libor Toman (Birel / Parilla) will start in pole position for the semi-final, actually a pre-final, with Ben Hanley (Maranello / Maxter) on the pace on the front row with him. The 2nd row will be occupied by Gary Catt (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter). Their mix of performance and reliability has enabled them to take advantage of drivers who have been inherently faster.
Davide Fore (CRG / Maxter) will start on the 3rd row with his teammate Arnaud Kozlinski, who was slowed in the second round by inappropriate gearing. Sauro Cesetti (Birel / Parilla) and Armand Convers (Kosmic / Vortex) are back on the 6th row after a clash in a heat. Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) will start the on the 9th row when he took a good 3rd place, but a problem forced Aaro Vainio (Maranello / Maxter) to retire. The Finn, handicapped for that reason, but then a heat winner, will start from the 10th row.
Spectacular recoveries are expected in a pre-final which promises to be eventful.
