Three semi-finals are scheduled in the KF2 category and will sort out the first 11 to qualify for the final. The competition may well be restless. At the top after the qualifying heats, were the top 3 of timed practice: this confirms their performance …
Matteo Viganò (Birel / Parilla) and Felice Tiene (Kosmic / Vortex) took the front row of the first semi-final, Viktor Oberg (Gillard / Parilla) and Vittorio Ghirelli (Tony Kart / Vortex) in the second, Brandon Maisano ( Intrepid.TM) and Ben Cooper in the third.
Johansson, D’Agosto, Grenhagen, Taylor, Goff, Wiman, Lennox-Lamb are favorites because of their positions at the end of the heats. Behind Maisano, the French driver Arrue was excellent, Barbarin was very comfortable, Chatin progessed quickly and Authié made up some places.
Some good pilots were able to qualify through the repechage: Nils Bernardet and Nicolaj Moller-Madsen thanks to their victories, but also Karol Basz, David Da Luz, Chris Lock and Loïc Reguillon. In contrast, Aniello Smarrazzo and Kevin Ceccon were injured and failed to qualify.
