Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) has once again defeated the competition during the qualifying heats for the World Cup for KF2 at La Conca. By winning all his rounds, he finished far ahead of his opponents. So he will start from pole position in the Prefinal, and will be the favourite.
The Finn Petri Suvanto (Tony Kart / Vortex) is also on the front row. The superb performance of the French driver Loïc Réguillon (Sodikart / Parilla), at the privateer team of Braun Racing, has been steady and strong since Thursday. He will start in 3rd position with a good score, ahead of the Briton Oliver Rowland (Tony Kart / Vortex). There is a great list of talent further back in the ranking with Sami Luka up to fifth, James Thorp coming from the 22nd fastest in timed practice up to 6th place, Tom Grice back from the 29th spot and Jack Harvey from 31st to 8th.
The French contingent has had ruffled feathers on Sunday morning. Loïc Réguillon has only Guillaume Barbarin in 22nd, Julien Deschamps in 23rd and William Benedetti in 29th behind him and able to participate in the finals. Barbarin impeccably maintained his pace, Deschamps achieved a feat coming from the 65th in Qualifying. Benedetti, qualifying around the 10th spot, fell back following a clash this morning.
There was great disappointment for many drivers, however, rapid but unqualified, but this is always the case in this type of competition. The French drivers Clement Bluy, Charles Lacaze and Paul-Loup Chatin did not. Vigano, Dale, Fontana, Vermeylen, Bailly, Smarrazzo, Weckström, among others, were also in the same situation.
