Jonathan Thonon was able to impose his CRG / Maxter in the KZ1 World Cup final, facing the formidable Tony Kart / Vortex of Marco Ardigo in some clean racing. Davide Forè took 3rd place ahead of Arnaud Kozlinski to complete the triumph by Maxter engines, prepared by Tec Sav.
Thomas Mich fought like a devil to get rid of Matias Laine and Norman Nato, and then to resist the comeback of Francesco Laudato, who made a very quick start … Sauro Cesetti remained behind Laine for a long time but managed to pass the Finn. He resisted the rapid rise of Rick Dreezen at the end of the race. Norman Nato ended up disappointed with his 11th place, but could not fight on equal terms with his smaller peers.
Thonon took 4 laps to take command of the race, but Marco Ardigo did not let him get a long way ahead. The gap remained limited for long enough that Thonon’s victory was not assured. In any case, Marco, although slower, exerted constant pressure on his rival. But throughout this year the CRG / Maxter team, led by Jonathan Thonon, has been unbeatable. Davide Forè arrived too late to find the opening on Arnaud Kozlinski, but again, the tension did not drop immediately.
