With his 4 victories in the KF2 qualifying heats, Flavio Camponeschi (TonyKart / Vortex) dominated the category and took pole position. He will be joined by Robert Foster-Jones on the front row of the prefinal, while Tom Grice and Robin Frijns will follow on the second.
Deprived of a victory because of an jumped start, Karol Basz still positioned himself in 5th place, ahead of Smarrazzo, Thorp and Cautela. Oliver Rowland will start 10th, Giacomo Patrono 12th and Jordan Chamberlain 14th. William Benedetti is 15th and the first French driver, penalized a surprising amount after a pass on Andrea Dalé. Suvanto had to settle for 15th position, Johansson 21st ahead of the second French driver, Loïc Réguillon.
Jack Harvey was only 28th, Zdenek Groman 29th, Sami Luka 32nd. Laura Koivuluoma was last of the 34 qualifiers. The French have not been very successful at Braga after Alban Authié and Charles Lacaze missed the finals, respectively, by one and two points. Paul-Loup Chatin had a number of problems on the track, including an engine that was reluctant to start and ran a great race to fifth to try to recover.
Luke Wright, Giaguaro Nero, Matteo Vigano and Mario Zanchetta were also among the non-qualifiers.
