Beitske Visser felt very much at ease behind the wheel of her Lotus single-seater on the fast racing surface of the Lausitzring, so much so that she added another victory to her list of achievements at the 6th meeting of 2012 Formel ADAC Masters, on 25 and 26 August. She showed all her determination already in timed qualifying, with the second fastest time, just 0.05 seconds short of the pole position. In Race 1, a heavy fight started in the lead pack, also with her Lotus team mates. Beitske pushed hard, as usual, and finished 4th, with the second fastest time in her pocket.
Beitske started in pole position in Race 2 and opened a gap on two occasions – the safety car intervened – and claimed her second victory of the season, in her first year in single-seaters. Due to a reverse starting grid, she started from 8th in Race 3 but quickly caught her opponents. Unfortunately, things got complicated with the driver in 4th position and the duel ended with Beitske finishing off track and being forced to retire.
But results during the German weekend were satisfactory for Beitske, who is now 7th in the classification and is determined to take advantage of her progress behind the wheel of her single-seater to improve her results still further.
