Leonardo Caglioni, Jordan Dolischka, Luka Nurmi and Gustavs Malins were first at the top of the ranking of the first session of the Academy Trophy. Then Jamie Day posted the best lap in 56”525, Joseph Taylor following him in 2nd place. Dolischka finished 3rd in front of Caglioni and Jiei Okuzumi. Sami Meguetounif was 10th by 2 tenths.
Kobe Pauwels took the lead in the second session before Xavier Handsaeme posted two fast laps and finished in the lead breaking the 56” barrier, with 55”954. Mike van Vugt finished second by 0.077s, Pauwels finished 3rd by 2 tenths. Suleiman Zanfari came back to 6th, then 4th on the last lap and Tijmen van der Helm took 5th place. Dylan Léger finished 11th by 6 tenths.
The difference between the two sessions exceeded 1% of the best time, so the 101% rule was applied. Handsaeme was none the less the indisputable poleman, Day was 2nd, van Vugt 3rd, Taylor 4th and Pauwels 5th. Zanfari found himself 7th, Meguetounif 20th and Leger 21st.
