The first Timed Qualifying of the OK-Junior European Championship benefited from sunny and warm weather on the Sarno circuit. With a theoretical duration of 8 minutes, the three sessions were barely used until the last three minutes, leaving one or two laps to each driver.
Paul Aron (FA Kart / Vortex) set the fastest time of the first session – 59”597 – followed by Dino Beganovic (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Laurens Van Hoepen (Tony Kart / Vortex) ). Sami Meguetounif (Formula K / TM) was 9th, Loris Cabirou (Energy / TM) was 14th and Tom Uzan (Kosmic / Parilla) 20th.
Victor Bernier (Kosmic / Parilla) dominated the second session in the last two laps with a time of 59”754 ahead of Adam Putera (CRG / TM) and Han Cenyu (KR / Parilla). Zak O’Sullivan (FA Kart / Vortex) finished 4th and Vlad Lomko (Kosmic / Parilla) 5th. It was the 12th fastest time for Marcus Amand (KR / Parilla), 16th for Suleiman Zanfari (Tony Kart / Vortex) and 21st for Maceo Capietto (KR / Parilla).
Kai Askey (FA Kart / Vortex) was fastest in the third session with 59”617, followed by 0.130” by teammate Conrad Laursen (FA Kart / Vortex) and Kirill Smal (Tony Kart / Vortex). Gabriele Mini (Parolin / Parilla) was 4th ahead of Gabriel Bortoleto (CRG / TM) and Taylor Barnard (KR / Parilla). Evan Mallet (Kosmic / Parilla) was ranked 11th, Hadrien David (Kosmic / Vortex) 16th and Isack Hadjar (Exprit / TM) 22nd.
Aron remained the poleman of the category ahead of Askey and Beganovic, with Laursen 4th, Smal 5th, and Bernier 6th.
