In the KF-Junior final Muizziddin bin Abdul Gafar (CRG / Vortex) went over Kenny Roosens (Kosmic / Parilla) at the first hairpin. Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart / Vortex) already had a nice lead on the first lap, while Ulysses De Pauw (BirelART / Parilla) took 2nd place before Felipe Drugovich struck on the second lap. Logan Sargeant and Marta Garcia (FA Kart / TM) completed the top five ahead of Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex). Garcia then attacked Sargeant, with Ye Yifei (Tony Kart / Vortex) 7th, ahead of Sun Yue Yang (FA Kart / Vortex) and Kush Maini (Tony Kart / Vortex), and Lucas Légeret (BirelART / Parilla) held 10th position. Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Tony Kart / Vortex) passed Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 15th place.
Garcia put pressure on Drugovich who accelerated and passed De Pauw, followed by the young Spanish driver after three laps. The battle then continued in the wake of Lundgaard and the three drivers crossed the line 84 mils apart. Lundgaard was back to winning ways, but it was close, finishing with Drugovich 2nd by 24 mils. Marta Garcia finished 3rd with the fastest time after a remarkable performance. De Pauw was 4th, Sargeant 5th and Novalak 6th. Milesi was finally 12th ahead of Simmenauer and Timothy Peisselon (BirelART / Parilla) was 24th. Garcia’s late run was thrilling. With one or two more laps, the result might have been different …
