As might be expected, the first KF group was faster than the second, which was on track about 45 minutes later as decided by the race director. The World Champion of KFJ in 2013, Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / TM) was on the pace on his debut in KF, as he took pole position with 44” 165 ahead of Diego Bertonelli (Zanardi / Parilla) with 44″ 211, Egor Stupenkov (Energy / TM) 44” 262 and Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic / Vortex) 44” 310. It was not until 5th overall that a driver from Group 2 appeared, Felice Tiene (CRG / TM) with a lap of 44” 329.
There was a beautiful performance for the French driver Julien Darras (Kosmic / Vortex), 4th in Group 2 and 12th overall. Lando Norris (FA Kart / Vortex) was 23rd, Gabriel Aubry (Tony Kart / Vortex) 30th, Paolo Bezancenez (Tony Kart / TM) 34th, and Alexander Gadois (FA Kart / Parilla) 37th of the 49 participants.
