Sébastien Bailly still believes in the possibility of the KF2 title.
The weather is beautiful at the Ghibli Raceway for qualifying for the WSK World Series, as expected. At 11am, the temperature was already very high, and the wind began to blow slightly. Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) took pole in Super KF 56,683 and it is hardly surprising. What is more, Armand Convers (Kosmic / Vortex) was in 9th 42 hundredths behind the leader, his opponent in the championship. As suspected Kozlinski (CRG / Maxter) is fast on the track at Sharm El Sheik. He set the second fastest lap within 4 hundredths of Nyck, while Zdenek Groman (Maranello / Parilla) was 3rd.
Sébastien Bailly (Kosmic / Vortex) started the session with a knife between his teeth, anything to try to win the title. He set the fastest time in KF2, over 3 / 10 ahead of Karol Basz (RK / BMB), followed by Luke Varley and Ignazio D’Agosto (Tony Kart / Vortex). The fastest time in KF3 went to Max Verstappen (CRG / Maxter) in KF3, on the last lap, ahead of the surprise Japanese Takashi Kasai (Tony Kart / Vortex) who is improving with every race. 3rd was Robert Visoiu (Tony Kart / Vortex).
Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter) was clearly the fastest in KZ2 with 56,975, but Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) was not far off, second by 6 mils. Rick Dreezen confirms the fitness of Tony Kart in 3rd position.
