It was a great start for Bas Lammers (Intrepid / TM), but Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) dragged a bit and dropped to 5th. Manu Renaudie (PCR/TM) attacked Lammers from lap 2. Jérémy Iglesias (Intrepid / TM) moved into second place while Thomas Mich (Birel / TM) challenged Patrik Hajek (Tony Kart / Vortex) for 4th. Abbasse, in 6th and Pierre Etienne Chaumat (Intrepid / TM), 7th passed Yannick De Brabander (Intrepid / TM). Abbasse was now the fastest on the track. Iglesias despatched Renaudie at the entrance to the parabolic, and Lammers followed on the following lap at the pylon.
Hajek could not hold off Abbasse’s recovery, 4th, who also passed Mich. Renaudie retired on lap 6. Internal fighting at Intrepid between Iglesias, the leader, and Lammers, but Abbasse, in 3rd, seemed able to come and mediate the discussions. Mich set the fastest time, and Hanley went off with Hajek, so Britain was left behind. Victory went to Iglesias ahead of Lammers and Abbasse. Mich was fourth ahead of Chaumat.
