While the track changed into dust and fragments, the second heat was more lively than the first. Alessandro Bressan (Kosmic / Vortex) was later given a 10s penalty for a starting infraction. But his performance was convincing. It was a difficult start for Arnaud Kozlinski (CRG / Maxter) who started to lose time following Gary Catt (Tony Kart / Vortex) and the slowing Yannick De Brabander (Intrepid / TM) and Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) which gave him a mountain to climb. In short, the order was much changed after the first corner, and it is not finished yet.
For now, Simo Puhakka (PCR / TM), the cheerful Finn, was second from Oliver Rowland (LH / Maxter), Richard Bradley (Maddox / Maxter), Libor Toman (Birel / Parilla) and Mark Litchfield (Maranello / Maxter). Kozlinski recovered like a rocket by cleverly combining risk taking and caution. Jason Parrott and Sauro Cesetti on Birels swapped places while Puhakka yielded under the onslaught of Rowland and then, later, Kozlinski. The latter made a superb overtaking move on the inside of Rowland and gave himself a chance of victory. Ardigo finished 7th and Vica Chong Chuen Yee 21st, a pleasant and quite good driver.
