90 Mini drivers took part in the Qualifying Practice of the WSK Super Master Series in Lonato. The sun was shyly appearing, the temperature was 3° and the track dry.
Luka Fedorenko (EKS/TM) set the benchmark in the first session with a fifth lap of 52”447, 7 thousandths ahead of Billy van Staveren (Parolin/Iame) and 10 thousandths ahead of Ilie Tristan Crisan (KR/Iame). Julius Ociepa (IPK/TM) was 4th ahead of Kilian Josseron (KR/Iame). Walter Schulz (KR/Iame) finished 13th.
Niklas Schaufler (EKS/TM) and Jindrish Pesl (Parolin/Iame) were in the lead in the second session and Dries van Langendonck (Parolin/TM) was in the fight with Oliver Palocko (Parolin/Iame). Schaufler took the provisional pole with 52”147, van Langendonck followed him by 1,5 tenths ahead of Palocko, Pesl at 4 tenths and Roman Kamyab (Parolin/Iame), then William Caleja (Parolin/TM) 6th.
Davide Bottaro (Parolin/TM) and Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) made their presence felt on the second lap of the third session. Costoya improved on the pole on his third lap, while Bogdan Cosma Cristofor (KR/Iame) moved into the top three. Costoya maintained his time of 52”056, leading by 17 thousandths over Bottaro. Cosma Cristofor was 3rd, a tenth behind Boris Lyzen (Alonso Kart/Iame) and Lorenzo Campos (Energy/TM) in 5th.
In the fourth session, Ludovico Mazzola (EKS/TM) came close to pole on his third lap, then Filippo Sala (KR/Iame) improved with the fastest lap – 52”093. Dean Hoogendoorn (Alonso Kart/Iame) was 2nd, 17 thousandths behind Nikita Botte (Tony Kart/TM). Mazzola was 4th at 69 thousandths and David Cosma Cristofor (KR/Iame) 5th. Alessandro Truchot (Parolin/TM) finished 7th and François Dario Kerdal (KR/Iame) 14th.
