The Czech Jan Midrla (Birel / TM) completely dominated KZ2 on the first day of the WSK Master Series at Castelletto by winning both heats and the final after running on his own in the lead. Starting from pole, Jordon Lennox-Lamb fell far behind in the first Final following a penalty of 10”. The British driver then climbed very strongly in the final to finish second after setting the fastest lap. Starting 5th, Francesco Celenta (Birel / TM) achieved a good result taking the third step of the podium in front of Riccardo Negro (DR / TM) and Matteo Ghidella (Maranello / Maxter). Charly Bizalion (Lenzo / TM) didn’t have it easy in the heats and finished 17th in the final while Antoine Bottiroli (BRM / Maxter) went out at the first corner.
Fabian Federer (CRG / Maxter) continued his momentum after winning the Margutti Trophy. 2nd in qualifying for KZ1, he got to the front in the heats and ran a solo race in the final, constantly improving his fastest time. Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM) again took pole position. In the race, he had to cede the spotlight to Federer to go on to the second step of the podium. It was a good performance for Yannick De Brabander (Formula K / TM) at the front, with a 3rd place. The day was harder for Kozlinski (PCR / TM) after his 3rd place in qualifying and the first heat, he finished way off. There was another good performance from Praga with 4th place for Hajek and 5th for Lammers.
