Émilien Denner (Sodi/TM) leapt ahead of his team mate Senna van Walstijn (Sodi/TM) at the start of the race with Matteo Vigano (Birel ART/TM) in their wake. Giuseppe Palomba (Birel ART/TM) was already out of the race. Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) was 4th. Vigano was 2nd ahead of van Walstijn, who was soon followed by Bertuca. Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart/Vortex) was back in the top five ahead of Daniel Vasile (Birel ART/TM) while Vigano was getting closer and closer to Denner’s wheels. Freddie Slater (Birel ART/TM) started to make good progress from 17th on the grid. Leuillet then attacked van Walstijn for 4th position. Vigano took 1st place on lap 8. Denner now had to do everything in his power to hold on to 2nd place against Bertuca. Meanwhile Vasile had taken the lead over van Walstijn for 5th place and Leuillet was threatening Bertuca. Van Walstijn took over 5th place from Vasile with five laps to go. Vigano won the race with the fastest time 1” ahead of Denner, Bertuca finished 3rd and champion of the Super Master Series, followed by Leuillet at 9 hundredths. Van Walstijn finished in 5th place, just ahead of Slater, who made a comeback of 11 positions and then demoted to 9th for a badly positioned spoiler.
