In Sarno, the long morning of Sunday ended with the OK Prefinals of the third round of the WSK Super Master Series under denser cloud cover and a temperature of 15°.
Prefinal A
Jan Przyrowski (Tony Kart/Vortex) led the race from the start, Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart/Vortex) took 2nd ahead of Luis James Egozi (Tony Kart/Vortex), wit Thomas Strauven (LN/Vortex) 4th and Sebastiano Pavan (Tony Kart/Vortex) 5th. Andrea Dupé (Sodi/TM) did not start. Coluccio lost ground in the top four to his team-mates. Egozi continued to push and took the lead on the fourth lap. Coluccio came back to 2nd ahead of Strauven and Przyrowski while Gustaw Wisniewski (Exprit/TM) moved into the top five. Strauven then moved up to P2. Emanuele Olivieri (IPK/TM) was 5th. Przyrowski increased the pace to come back to 3rd while Egozi was joined by Strauven. Przyrowski took advantage of Egozi’s defence to join the duo and move up to 2nd. Coluccio came back into the battle to take 2nd position with less than three laps to go. Egozi had a free hand to take the win 1.7″ ahead of Coluccio and Przyrowski. Olivieri finished 4th by passing Strauven on the last lap. Arthur Poulain (Tony Kart/Vortex) finished 8th.
Prefinal B
David Walther (Tony Kart/Vortex) led at the start, Tomass Stolcermanis (Energy/TM) moved into 2nd ahead of Rene Lammers (Parolin/TM) and Jimmy Helias (Tony Kart/Vortex). Walther quickly took the lead and the battle for 2nd place raged on, with Stolcermanis holding on to it at the expense of Lammers and Helias. On the fourth lap, Lammers took 2nd and Helias 3rd. Walther had a lead of more than 3 seconds on the 5th lap. Stolcermanis took over P3 shortly afterwards by passing Helias under braking. Martin Molnar (Energy/TM) repeated the same attack on lap 7 to take 4th position. Lammers was 2nd and worked hard to close the gap to Walther. The two Energy drivers fought hard for P3. Molnar, powered by Machec, passed Stolcermanis, powered by GFR. Walther managed the end of the race to win with a lead of 1,4”. Lammers secured 2nd place despite the return of Molnar and Stolcermanis separated by 2 thousandths on the line. Helias finished 5th and Maxens Verbrugge (Birel ART/TM) 8th.
