A strong field of 63 KZ2 drivers took part in the Qualifying Practice for the third round of the WSK Super Master Series in Sarno on a dry track with a temperature of 12°.
Session 1 Denner 53”467
On the second lap, Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) was leading ahead of Mark Negrutsa (Lenzo/LKE). Bertuca then went under 54” ahead of Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART/TM) and German Foteev (Energy/TM). Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart/Vortex) was leading on lap 4, with Jérémy Iglesias (CRG/TM) back in 3rd. Emilien Denner (Sodi/TM) took the lead on the fifth lap and concluded with a time of 53”467. Bertuca followed by 57 thousandths, then Leuillet 3rd at 1 tenth and Iglesias 4th at 2 tenths. Maximilian Paul (DR/Modena) was 5th, Senna van Walstijn (Sodi/TM) 8th ahead of Longhi and Adrien Renaudin (DR/Modena) 13th on his comeback.
Session 2 Slater 53”525
On the third lap, Freddie Slater (Birel ART/TM) was ahead of Maksim Orlov (Parolin/TM) and Daniel Vasile (Birel ART/TM). Maxim Rehm (Birel ART/TM) then took the lead over Alex Maragliano (Maranello/TM) and Gisueppe Palomba (Birel ART/TM). Slater then closed in on pole position in 53”525, followed by Palomba at 1 tenth. Rehm finished 3rd at 0.247” ahead of Egor Nosov (IPK/TM) and Matteo Vigano (Birel ART/TM). Matteo Spirgel (Sodi/TM) was 6th, Maragliano 7th.
