Kinetik Karts launches an all-new electric karting championship – the Kinetik E-Series. The competition is one of only ? few worldwide and will feature a lineup of ten pilots, driving the brand new electric karting, designed and built by Kinetik Karts, a subsidiary of the boutique electric vehicle manufacturer Kinetik Automotive. The official kick-off already took place in May with a three-day-long testing event at the Krasna Polyana track in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Kinetik Karts is a subsidiary of Kinetik Automotive – a Bulgarian manufacturer of boutique electric vehicles and a provider of cutting-edge solutions in rapid prototyping and automotive technologies. After showcasing the working prototype of their first electric karting in late 2020, the team focused on applying their technology in projects with a higher significance for the world of motorsports and the field of electric mobility.
“In organizing this championship, we saw a chance to not only do our part in the transition to zero-emission motorsports but also give ten young and talented pilots the chance to gain invaluable experience in the seat of one of the best electric performance machines in existence,” said Teodosiy Teodosiev, CEO of Kinetik Karts. “Our goal is to present pilots, who are just starting out with the means to build up their skills on the road to reaching Formula E, which is the top level of electric motorsports. Currently, there are very few championships, where the new generation of electric racers can gain track experience and we aim to bridge that gap.”
The first race of the championship will be on 01-03.07.2022 at Kinetik’s home track in Varna, Bulgaria with four additional rounds taking place in the following months. The series finale is going to be in October at the Krasna Polyana karting track in Sofia, Bulgaria. The winner will get the chance to test drive an ERA electric formula with the electric renegade Ellis Spiezia.
