A fine field of 79 OK-Junior drivers took part in the fourth round of the WSK Super Master Series at Sarno, under blue skies and a temperature of 11°. Most of the drivers did a recovery lap mid-session to cool down their Vega tyres before the final assault.
In the final rush of Session 1, Oleksandr Bondarev (LN/Vortex) made his mark against Nathan Tye (Sodi/TM). The Ukrainian concluded as leader with a fourth lap of 55”548. Anatoly Khavalkin (Parolin/TM) was 2nd by a tenth, Tye finished 3rd ahead of Lenn Nijs (KR/Iame) and Alex O’Grady (Exprit/TM). Thomas Quincé (Tony Kart/TM) was only 25th.
Lucas Fluxa Cross (KR/Iame) and Kirill Kutskov (Birel ART/TM) battled it out for the lead in Session 2 before Dmitry Matveev (Tony Kart/Vortex) took over. He concluded with the provisional pole with 55”497 on his sixth lap. Fluxa Cross followed him by a tenth, ahead of Kutskov, Emmanuele Olivieri (IPK/TM) and Aleksandar Bogunovic (KR/Iame) 5th. Maxens Verbrugge (Exprit/TM) was 18th.
Elliot Kaczynski (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Matias Orjuela (Parolin/TM) remained in the lead for a long time. Kaczynski finished in the lead with a fifth lap of 55”893. Guillaume Bouzar (Tony Kart/Vortex) followed him 41 thousandths ahead of Orjuela. David Dedecker (KR/Iame) finished 4th and Salin Hanna (LN/Vortex) 5th. Andy Consani (Sodi/TM) was 17th and Jimmy Helias (Tony Kart/Vortex) 20th.
