Nice field in OK-Junior for the second round of the WSK Super Master Series in Lonato with 90 participants. The sun was shining for the Qualifying on a dry track with a temperature of only 10°C.
Lucas Fluxa Cross (KR/Iame) led the first session against Tiziano Monza (KR/Iame) and finished in 47’584. Nathan Tye (Sodi/TM) followed less than a tenth behind, while Maxens Verbrugge (Exprit/TM) started in 3rd position with Forza Racing. Emanuele Olivieri (IPK/TM) was finally 4th in front of Monza. For his debut in the category, with the Gamoto team, Rafael Theveny (Tony Kart/Vortex) finished 26th.
Anatoly Khavalkin (Parolin/TM) faced Oleksandr Bondarev (LN/Vortex) and Enea Frey (LN/Vortex) in the second session. Dmitry Matveev (Tony Kart/Vortex) joined the battle and Maciej Gladysz (LN/Vortex) took the lead. Frey was the fastest in 47”715, 5 hundredths ahead of Gladysz, then Matveev 3rd, Bondarev 4th and Luviwe Sambudla (KR/Iame) 5th by a tenth. Thomas Quincé (Tony Kart/TM) finished in 9th place.
Douwe Dedecker (KR/Iame) was the first to go under 48” in the third session ahead of Zhenrui Chi (KR/Iame). He finished in 47’657, 0.125″ ahead of Chi. Griffin Peebles (Tony Kart/Vortex) took 3rd place, Sebastian Lehtimaki (Tony Kart/Vortex) 4th and Thomas Strauven (LN/Vortex) 5th. Jimmy Helias (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 11th ahead of Andy Consani (Sodi/TM).
