The KZ was the only category to finish it’s free practice after the one-hour break due to the sudden threat of bad weather at Adria. The 24 drivers of the FIA Karting European Championship – KZ were therefore able to compete for their qualification in good conditions.
Alessandro Irlando (Birel ART/TM) ended the session on a fantastic 47”270 which gave him pole position with a 0.121” lead over Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart/Vortex), while Marijn Kremers (Ricciardo/TM) followed not far behind in 3rd position. Lorenzo Camplese (Tony Kart/Vortex) infiltrated into 4th place ahead of Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART/TM). Adrien Renaudin (Sodi/TM) finished 11th and Jeremy Iglesias (Formula K/TM) 14th. Jorrit Pex (KR/TM) did not complete a lap.
