Karol Pasiewicz (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Alfio Spina (KR/Iame) shared the front row at the start of the OK-Junior Final of the first round of the WSK Super Master Series on the Adria circuit. There was little change in the weather with a cloudy sky, a temperature of 8° and a dry track.
When the lights went out, Artem Severiukhin (Tony Kart/Vortex) was in 2nd position behind Pasiewicz with Ugo Ugochukwu (Kosmic/Vortex) and Arvid Lindblad (KR/Iame) while Spina was 5th in front of Christian Ho (KR/Iame). On the third lap, the ‘Slow’ procedure was launched after an incident between William McIntyre and Dion Gowda. Alex Powell (Energy/TM) had already retired. The race was restarted on lap 8. Ugochukwu then took the lead, followed by Lindblad, Spina and Ho but Pasiewicz and Severiukhin were losing ground. Spina and Lindblad battled for 1st place, Ugochukwu and Ho for 3rd. Then Spina pulled away in front of a field embroiled in battle. The Sicilian won as he had the previous week with a 2.6″ lead over Lindblad who was then penalised down to 7th position for a bad manoeuvre. Ugochukwu took 2nd place ahead of Ho and Pasiewicz. Martinius Stenshorne (KR/Iame) moved up 13 places to 5th, Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) moved up 19 places to finish 11th and Macéo Capietto (KR/Iame) was 23rd with the fastest lap in the race.
