Since the creation of the 24-hour race in 1999, Racing Kart de Cormeilles has been doing everything possible to improve on its event. The level of the entered competitors and the seriousness of the organisation have raised it to the reference level of prokart endurance. The 17th edition will be marked by the arrival of the new generation of Sodi SK4 390cc karts, the introduction of a new weighing system, a tempting reward for the winners, and much more…
To give an idea of the aura of the RKC 24 Hours, we only need to take a look at the 2014 edition that attracted 37 teams and 226 drivers. At a 1200 metre long track, 25 minutes from Paris, the battle raged day and night, one way and the other, from end to end.
The organisation also makes a point each year to offer the competitors high quality material. This will be the case once more with the arrival of a fleet of Sodi SK4 with 390cc engines. For more fairness on track, the drivers will be individually weighed, and so each driver will receive individual ballast, instead of the team ballast that was in place up until 2014. As tradition dictates, the direction of the race will reverse at about 22h30, below the fireworks.
Drivers who wish to train under 24 Hour race conditions can take part in the RKC 6 Hours on the 22nd of March. There is even a “6 + 24” formula to benefit from preferential conditions by lining up at the start of both races. Lastly, let’s not forget that it’s on Racing Kart de Cormeille’s site that the 6th edition of the SWS Grand Finals will take place.
See you on the 2nd and 3rd of May 2015 for the sensational 24 Hour race just steps away from the capital!
