Red Bull Junior Beitske Visser, the 18-year-old Netherlander, did not end her ADAC Formula Masters season the way she wanted. She recorded 7th, 5th 7th the Hockenheimring. “We were P6 in Free Practice and in Qualifying,” explained Visser. “In the first race I made a good start but then the first two laps were a bit difficult. I got wide and onto the dirt and lost some places. In the end the speed was OK and I finished seventh but it was just the first few laps which were not so good.”
No excuses
“It was my mistake,”she admitted. The car felt good, no problems really. We did a good job in practice, it would have been nice to qualify better but it wasn’t too bad,” added Visser.
“Then Race 2 was OK, going from P6 on the grid to P5 but Race 3 should have been much better. I was P4 on the reverse grid but from the start I had too much wheelspin off the line. Then I was trying to get past my teammate Mikkel Jensen but every time I got alongside he put me on the grass. There was nothing I could do against it and that lost us both time so we were passed by other drivers and I ended up seventh,” said a very frustrated Visser.
Alessio Picariello had won the ADAC title well before the final event. Visser ended the season 8th and her team mate Callan O’Keeffe 13th.
