Ranked second after the heats in KZ1, Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) pushed his advantage at the start of final 1, managing to hold off the recovery of Max Verstappen (CRG / TM) who was making a great comeback from 10th place on the grid. Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter), second fastest, couldn’t worry the Tony Kart driver before having to give way to the young Dutchman. Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM) finally got the better of Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM) for fourth place, while Jérémy Iglesias (Lenzo / LKE) returned from 12th to 6th position with Jordon Lennox Lamb ( CRG / Parilla) moving brilliantly from 24th to 7th, with the fastest race lap. Arnaud Koslinski (Birel / TM) finished 8th, Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla) ninth and Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) 10th. Ardigo perplexed everyone by stopping shortly after crossing the finish line and returning to the pits on the truck.
However, this was due to a technical problem, and Ardigo was later penalised for a non-conforming volume and Verstappen took 1st place ahead of Thonon and Hanley.
