While continuing her apprenticeship with single-seaters, at the 4th round of the Formel ADAC Masters, in mid-August, Beitske Visser faced particularly boisterous opponents at the Austrian circuit of Red Bull Ring. Races were often disrupted by crashes and sometimes required the safety car being sent out. In these difficult conditions, on a track where she competed for the first time, Beitske demonstrated an astonishing ability for a young rookie.
In timed qualifying, she outperformed her team mates by setting the 5th fastest time. Then, she made an excellent climb up in Race 1 after two rather turbulent laps at the start and crossed the finish line 6th, with a well-deserved sense of satisfaction. Tension stepped up a level in Race 2, so much so that race directors were forced to inflict penalties, but the young Dutch driver did not suffer much for the problems encountered on the track and concluded again with a 6th place. Unfortunately, she could not reach the finish line of the last race due to a collision impossible to avoid in front of her.
But Beitske sticks to her schedule, i.e. improving her Lotus Team single-seater driving skills at each new meeting. Indeed, her sensitivity behind the wheel is constantly improving and her performances are getting better race after race.
