For its fourteenth event, and for the first time since its inception, the karting section of the Automobile Club de Monaco has received a great number of applications for the Monaco Kart Cup.
In view of this large influx of applications, a selection committee has met and has retained:
* 45 competitors in the KF3 class, out of 59 applicants.
* 34 competitors in the KZ2 class, out of 61 applications received by the ACM.
The great popularity of this Monegasque event, which forms part of the CIK/FIA international race calendar, comes as no surprise. The ACM name, as event organisers, and the circuit, which runs on the lower part of the famous Formula One circuit, are both sure to attract young drivers and future world champions across all motorsport disciplines, while the care taken of participants and professionalism deployed throughout this sporting weekend will guarantee a high quality event.
With a good weather forecast, there should be a very good spectator turnout, all along the 1068 metre circuit.
