Allstar International proudly announce that Petri Suvanto (Finland), signed by Allstar aged 13, will join Gravity Sports, the sister company Genii, new owner of Renault F1 team. Now 17, Suvanto recently won the BMW Scholarship and will drive Formula BMW with Kaufmann Racing, supporting seven F1 Grands Prix and the F3 Masters.
Carl Gerrish (Allstar International CEO) « Ever since meeting Petri in junior karting we endeavored to structure his mindset for the long-term and build relevant relationships at Formula One level. Petri has been a perfectionist and tireless worker in pursuit of those objectives, both in the way he absorbs information and subsequent responsive measures inside and crucially ‘outside’ the car. His attitude is exceptional, beyond his years and he looks to himself before questioning others. Petri is one of a rare breed and we are delighted that Eric Boullier has allowed this opportunity to showcase his talent.»
Eric Boullier (Gravity CEO/Renault F1 Team Principal) « For a young driver fresh from karting we have been largely surprised by the level of knowledge, commitment and outlook demonstrated by Petri. We know Carl’s company have been strongly supporting Petri’s development and the benefits of that critical early-stage mentoring are now visible.»
