There were twists in the final for the young drivers in KF3. Although Carlos Sainz (Tony Kart / Vortex) made the best start but Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) took the lead on the first lap. The fight tripped up the European Vice-Champion and the Russian Danil Kvyat (Tony Kart / Vortex). In fact, Mathieu Jaminet (Maranello / Maxter), held second from Sainz, Kvyat and Silva.
Sainz recovered and quickly started chasing down the leaders. Jaminet resisted as best as he could, but had to yield to the Spaniard at halfway. Meanwhile, De Vries had expected this, and had almost 2 seconds on Sainz. Jaminet was trying to keep up, but he soon joined by the amazing Macaulay Walsh (Birel / Parilla). Wanting to keep his place on the podium at all costs, he made a mistake after the chicane and lost his chances. Peter Hoevenaars (Zanardi / Maxter) recalled the memory of his result at Genk and attacked Walsh for 3rd place.
Nyck De Vries won an unexpected victory after his setbacks on Saturday and again was more effective than Carlos Sainz. The 3rd step of the podium went to Hoevenaars confirming his place among the best.
