Ensuring the safety of major car racing events has become, over time, the trademark of Tecpro. This French company, founded by Rafael Galiana, began its activity in karting in the 1990s and today it is also successfully established in F1, while continuing to expand its activities in the areas of both car and kart racing, as seen at the recent ERDF Masters Kart of Paris-Bercy, the last major event of a very busy 2011 season.
Indispensable in Major Meetings
The simplicity and effectiveness of the Tecpro concept are perfectly summarized by the figures relating to the ERDF Masters Kart of Bercy:
1,350 Tecpro blocks for a 1,400 m long protection
3.5 articulated lorries
3 Tecpro technicians and 1 assistant
5 hours for assembly and 3 hours for disassembly
only 1 block broken by Nicolas Hamilton's repeated "bursts of enthusiasm".
The patented strap assembling system makes all the difference. The 2011 Bercy meeting also gained in elegance with Tecpro, which offered a good replacement for old tyres used long ago thanks to its perfectly integrated blocks that ensure effective security. A week before the ERDF Masters Kart, Tecpro provided its barriers for another major event, the spectacular Race of Champions held in Düsseldorf, proving to be equally successful.
Essential in F1
After Abu Dhabi and Singapore, this year Tecpro has provided its barriers for another next-generation F1 circuit, that of Buddh, in India. The dangerous circuit of Monaco offered the opportunity to perform a life size test in 2006, and was followed by Barcelona, Valencia, etc. and FIA satisfaction with Tecpro F1 blocks remains high. The development of a track in Austin (Texas) is also part of Tecpro schedule for 2012. The WTCC has been very appreciative and Tecpro will now take the challenge in Portugal at Boavista and Macao.
Soon in the Moto GP
Success at equipping the motorbike circuit of Imola has boosted FIM confidence in Tecpro, which will be entrusted with the enhancement of safety at the Indian Moto Grand Prix.
No Efforts Are Spared in Karting
Rafael Galiana has never forgotten his long-time passion for karts. Equipping operations for new tracks are making good progress all over the world, in particular in relation to the opening of the first outdoor kart track equipped by Tecpro in Algeria (Megakart Algiers), the inauguration of another track in Slovakia (Bratislava) as well as in Austria (Spielberg Ring), in addition to the many indoor sites such as Vannes (Xtrem Kart) and Beauvais, just to mention a few. The Monaco Kart Cup, to be held in October 2012, will offer the team from Aubagne the opportunity to make themselves noticed again in the streets of the Principality. More new projects are also on the way in the US, Switzerland and Singapore.
The new season will start in January with the IKA 2000 Exhibition in Offenbach, where Tecpro will be present with its stand.
