30 of the 35 entered KF1 drivers are actually present in Macau for the second and final round of the 2012 World Championship. The absentees are European, which is easily understood: Graham, Klinby-Silver, Filippi, Gil and Giovinazzi are missing this weekend. Half of the entry is Asian competitors, several of whom will able to fight for victory, including of course Daiki Sasaki (Kosmic / Vortex) who was very fast at Suzuka and second in the intermediate classification. All the favorites and outsiders are also ready to do battle on Saturday morning in Macau, but we may regret the absence of Kozlinski, and the Formula K drivers Anthoine Hubert, Yannick De Brabander and Dave Blom.
An unanswered question: if Max Verstappen won the world title, which is difficult, but not impossible, having done the first event on and Intrepid / TM and the second on a CRG / TM, what brand would reap the benefits commercially?
The Asia-Pacific KF3 Championship will be fought between 12 entries with the expected absence of the experienced French driver Dorian Boccolacci. For now, the Indian Jehan Daruvala (Kosmic / Vortex) leads the field.
